A Testable Hypothesis: God is not ‘hiding’ from those who honestly and seriously seek for him.
(There is a standing invitation open for any person to know whether there is a God. God himself has made it plain and freely accessible. It has been stated thus: ‘those who seek me with their whole heart shall surely find me’.
A Testable Hypothesis: God is not ‘hiding’ from those who honestly and seriously seek for him.
It is an invitation freely extended to all, inviting us to ‘test the hypothesis’ as it were. Knowledge in science is gained in this way and considered a reliable method. It is a pathway to discovery and knowing, and provides a sound basis for believing something to be true.
With this opportunity comes a challenge and a dilemma. Can a person claim that God does not exist if not having engaged with him heart to heart, as invited, about the matter of belief? Such a quest does not require academic pursuit so much as an engagement in making a choice about what to do with this offer of knowing him that is put within reach of any person. It does not lend credibility to the claim, all too often made, that God has not provided enough evidence for us to know.
God himself warns that where reason and logic have held a person’s heart aloof, such arguments will be found wanting when they find themselves in his presence with nothing but eternal regret at having so lightly dismissed an opportunity so accessible and so generously offered. It is only God’s enemy who could want to induce any person into making such a calamitous choice as to not believe - unfortunately a position being widely promoted and made popular in our times - where our own resourcefulness and giftedness so disguises from us the finiteness of our perceptions.
From the experience of this writer, I would implore giving serious consideration to all invitations that God puts on offer. They are backed by his integrity and bring benefits far beyond what the natural mind and our earthly experience could ever dream possible. Why should any person want to risk missing such opportunity regarding issues of this life that are so fundamental and far reaching in their consequence? If there is any foundation to the truth of the ‘God who is there’ , then our destiny for all time depends crucially upon him and our relationship with him.
However noble the motive, would not declining to accept such an invitation, so generously offered, be in essence saying to a Supreme Being that we know better? Surely no one knows better, or more fully, about a creative work than the artist or author of it themselves.
It is a humble heart that will be enabled to fully receive this offer of the gift that is God.)

Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7: 7‑11 NASB

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Acts 17: 24‑29 NIV

neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
